The Knoxville, TN good old boys of Christian hard rock are back with a scorching album featuring enough guitar solos to satisfy any fan of the 80s. Although lead guitarist Brad Noah no longer tours with the band, he's still on board for songwriting and studio work, and takes every opportunity to leave his mark on Southern Hospitality. My favorite guitar work is on "Lay My Burdens" but quality lead guitar moments are found throughout the album. I'm thankful that Guitar Hero has made solos cool again!

Kevin Young's passionate vocals once again mix in some screamo moments, although most of the record is just good old metal / hard rock. The most common theme seems to be prodigals coming home and new starts. The award-winning Scars Remain is a lot to live up to, but Southern Hospitality should please most Disciple fans.

The band has been made over with the additions of guitarist Micah Sannan (Falling Up), guitarist Andrew Welch (Capital Lights) and bassist Israel Beechy (Staple). The new mix of talent and additional guitarist should make for a full live sound that will continue to rock the stage as Young seeks to challenge Christians to discipleship while calling unbelievers to Christ.

The CD drops Oct 21, but pre-orders at MusicChristian are only $8, so order now.
