Just when you thought ApologetiX couldn't come up with anything new (other than great parodies), they've releasedApol-acoustix, wherein the parodudes grab a pair of acoustic guitars and perform your favorite hits unplugged. Of course, the lyrics are as clever and as Biblical as ever, but now the music has a few twists, especially on songs like We're Not Gonna Drown, a Noahic parody of Green Day's When I Come Around. The flood theme continues with Last Rain the Clouds Spill (think of the Monkees).
My favorite parody is The Sounds of Silas with a great Simon & Garfunkel imitation and quality lyrics. Other parodied artists include Bill Haley, Elvis, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin and the Doors, as well as newer artists like Extreme and Kid Rock.
Apol-acoustix is for fans of ApologetiX. but it just may recruit some new fans as well.
