Sara Groves is one of the bright lights of contemporary Christian music. With her second album,All Right Here, the former English teacher establishes herself as an artist able to connect with her audience at a level far beyond mere entertainment. Her songs are often described as honest, intelligent or sensitive. All of those adjectives apply to All Right Here. Whether it's the questioning but hopeful musings of a young person in Maybe There's a Loving God, or the wistful yearning for a time gone by in Every Minute, Groves draws the listener in to her world and her heart. I especially like the lyrics of This Peace:

And sometimes I barely miss it when I walk into the room / The curtains are still swaying and I feel the air move / And it whispers in my ear and it shivers up my spine / It's the gratitude I feel for all that's right / It's a mystery appeal that's been granted me tonight / This peace

All Right Here is for anyone who enjoys thoughtful folk artists like Bebo Norman or Sarah McLachlan.
