Leeland's first album, Sound of Melodies, has received numerous accolades and was nominated for Grammy and Dove Awards—quite a feat for a new five-piece band fronted by 18 year-old Leeland Mooring. This is a truly exceptional album and well-worth adding to your collection.

Sound of Melodies begins with the song of the same name in which Leeland paints a picture of love and redemption.

We who were called to be Your people / Struggling sinners and thieves / We're lifted up from the ashes / And out came the song of the redeemed / The song of the redeemed // We have caught a revelation / That nothing can separate us from / The love we received through salvation / It fills your daughters and your sons

These lyrics are sung to a progressive rock, melodic tune. The song Tears of the Saints starts with a piano and strings and Leeland's understated vocals, slowly building with guitars, synthesizers and percussion, melodically following thith conviction and power well-beyond their years.
