Whether you're into screamo, hip hop, pop-punk, or just straight rock, X 2005 has something you'll enjoy. Open Wounds was on the re-release of Collide, so Skillet fans that only have the original will appreciate this. Everyone Like Me, by Thousand Foot Krutch, only appeared on the re-release of Set It Off. Falling Up's Exit Calysan is out on Dawn Escapes now, but it was a new song when X came out.
This CD introduced me to Underoath, a sort of pop-screamo band. There are a few hip-hop/rap songs from TobyMac, KJ-52, and John Reuben. Switchfoot pulls Sooner or Later from The Early Years: 1997-2000. Bonus tracks from Seven Places, Dizmas, Kids in the Way, and House of Heroes make for a nice finish to the CD. This compilation disc makes a great gift for fans of any of the artists on the CD, or just fans of rock. There's sure to be someone they haven't heard before that they'll enjoy.
Visit: X.
