The Trust Project’s five-song EP, Breaking the Silence, delivers a collection of songs that will appeal to diverse audiences with open, honest themes mixed with relevant music.

The Hillsboro, Texas based act, comprised of primary songwriters and brothers, Tim Parady and Bryan Parady, writes about some of the issues that we all can relate to, including pain and loneliness.

One example is the song, “Screaming Silence,” which talks about dealing with pain and how God can deliver us from times when we are hurting. The song, “Running in Circles” is more upbeat and hopeful, as the lyrics relate: “You’re the light of my life/Hope for my tomorrow/Always the same/I’m running in circles/Playing hide and seek/but you found me there…”

Overall, the strength of the project are the solid lyrics and the presentation of positive messages in light of our human struggles and failures. Listeners who appreciate straight-ahead pop/rock with meaningful messages will welcome this effort. Breaking the Silence does a great job of capturing some universal issues, and its songs continue to point us in a positive direction.
