ABOUT ME

My interest in apologetics goes back to my youth in rural Canada. I read my first book about creation and evolution when I was about 10, and was introduced to philosophy by reading Francis Schaeffer as a teen. I graduated with honors from Christian Heritage College (now San Diego Christian College) in 1983, earning a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education/English.

After teaching high school for a year in California, I wrote computer software at home for 14 years, and then taught a couple more years of high school in Colorado. My classes were English, Math, Geometry, History, Government/Economics, Computer Programming and Apologetics (Senior Bible).

I have been married to Joanna since 1983 and we have five wonderful children, plus two sons-in-law as of July 2010. My addiction of choice is ice hockey. I've cut back to playing only one winter and one summer league, but I've averaged more than a game a week for 20 years.

I've been a member of the Society of Christian Philosophers and an associate member of the Evangelical Theological Society. I'm currently self-employed, always looking for web programming jobs, so if your site needs a makeover, let me know! (And make sure you run your mouse over the Reformation Wall picture above.)

You failed to mention what an impact your three sisters had on your life.

Oops - I failed to remember that I changed my name almost fifteen years ago. I get all mixed up with my name and my family's names when I'm around or thinking about my siblings. My husband takes on my older brother's name, my son takes on my younger brother's name and my daughter takes on my younger sister's name. Must be an "over 40" thing!

Yes, Laurie is my sister. She had a tremendous impact on my life--just ask her. I have three younger sisters (she's the middle one) followed by a younger brother. They, along with my parents, constitute a fine family that I'm thankful for. No family is perfect, but they were a fun group to grow up around.

Brother Randy,
It's good to "catch up' with you via the web. I look forward to exploring your site a little more. Take care, bro.

Randy, I haven't seen you in a while. I checked out ACT's website and it made me HOMESICK! I can't believe Linda retired. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. We are back in Texas and doing well!
Love and God Bless,
The Vickery's

Hey Randy,
If memory serves you as well as it has me, I can't help but remember meeting you at Millar College of the Bible last month. I am the young man that sat in on a couple of your sessions on "Truth, Reality, and Logic" as well as your review of "The Shack" that shared a common love of hockey and John Piper with you. More importantly we shared a common faith and kindred spirit in our love for the truths of the Bible.
I just got off the phone with your Dad, and look frd to some good resources he is sending my way. What a delight it was to hear of his passion for distributing wise books, and other resources in a day where fables and myths run rampent.
Any way, I just couldn't help thinking of our conversations back at Millar when speaking to your Dad and just wanted to touch base with you.
I thank God for the encouragement you have been to me through your testimony, love for the truth, and zeal for Christ and His kingdom.

Keep your stick on the ice,

Geoff Meadows
