The First 90 Days of Marriage provides practical advice for newlyweds seeking to establish a strong Christian marriage. The chapters are "How to Have the Perfect Marriage," "How to Stay Madly in Love Through Life's Ups and Downs," "How to Have an Extraordinary Sex Life," "How to Tackle Life as a Team," and "How to Build the Ultimate Romantic Sanctuary."

The fundamental premise is quite simple and obvious--be totally committed to Christ and to your spouse. Work at your marriage and your marriage will work. My wife and I are happily married after 23 years even while breaking some of the "rules" in this book, so readers must keep in mind that no two marriages are going to be exactly the same.

Not everyone can have a marriage quite so perfect as Eric and Leslie Ludy, but all couples can glean useful advice from this book, which is why I'm giving it to my daughter. She is getting married this coming Saturday, so the timing is impeccable.

The First 90 Days of Marriage has worthwhile advice even for those well past the first 90 days--or even months--or marriage, so I recommend it even if I don't necessarily agree with all of it.
