Certain Jeopardy tells the story of a Special Ops team on a mission to Venezuela. Unlike some military action novels, it spends quite a bit of time on the relationships with families back home.
Co-author Captain Jeff Struecker served in Kuwait, Panama and Somalia. The latter experience resulted in his portrayal in the movie
Black Hawk Down. After those tours, he went to seminary, became a chaplain and served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. All that practical experience makes him an expert with rare qualifications to assist writer Alton Gansky in crafting this story.
The Christian aspects are not overt most of the time, as only one team member is a believer. His faith impacts how he makes his decisions, but the story doesn't feel "preachy." Anyone with an interest in the modern military should enjoy this novel.
