The 10 Dumbest Things Christians Do

Have we become so obsessed with being seeker-friendly that we're reluctant to offer the whole counsel of God? (55)I'm afraid that's dangerously true in many churches today. I recommend The 10 Dumbest Things Christians Do (the book, not the things themselves), especially for anyone involved in church leadership.
I loaned the book to a friend, but as I recall, his point was about winning people to the specific church environment, programs, etc., rather than to the Bride of Christ. Think of someone loving the decor, the worship style, the potlucks, the sense of community, etc., above loving the Lord. Think "church" as in physical local assembly rather than universal body.
Dumb things 1, 3-10. I agree.
"Winning People to the Church Rather Than to the Lord"? Sounds like he just committed #1. Of course, I'd have to read the book to actually understand what his point is. But isn't the Church the Bride of Christ?. And isn't it also Christ's very Body? Winning people to the Church is only a problem if the "church" has separated from Christ. Logically, of course, then it's no longer the Church. If someone is won to a true church they will be pointed in the direction of Christ.
