Step aside, Mary Poppins! "Nanny of the Year" Michelle LaRowe will give you the tools you need for successfully parenting pre-schoolers.
Nanny To The Rescue! is packed full of tips and helpful advice in a readable format with plenty of section headings. I especially enjoyed the short movie-style scenes illustrating key points. Whether you're expecting your first baby or raising the last of several children, you can learn from the practical advice found in this book.
LaRowe has over a decade of nanny experience and wonderfully blends the need for discipline with the need for love to create a balanced upbringing for your child. As a Christian nanny, she realizes the need for prayer and dependence on God as well as the need for parenting education.
When I'm not writing reviews and rants, my real-life job is being an administrator in a
large childcare (300+ students). We have used many of these same principles with great success over the years, and we have seen some parents struggling because they fail to implement these concepts with their children.
I'm recommending
Nanny To The Rescue! to my daughter, a part-time nanny who looks forward to being a mom. Every parent of young children should read this book (yes, the fathers as well); it will reduce stress on your life and marriage as you learn to be more effective in parenting those little ones entrusted to you by God.
