Highway to Heaven: Season Two
Michael Landon Productions
2005 A&E Television Networks

Rated G
6 DVDs, 19 hours

Michael Landon and Victor French starred together for years on Little House on the Prairie and then on Highway to Heaven for several more years. Season 2 of the latter series is now available on DVD, offering 24 episodes and commentary by Landon's wife Cindy on an episode called The Torch.

Landon plays the angel Jonathan Smith, formerly a man who lacked some of the necessary heavenly attributes. French plays his human sidekick, ex-cop Mark Gordon. In each episode, they face the challenges of life by modeling positive values, kindness and good character.

Biblically, angels are a class of beings unrelated to humans, but the series is meant to be inspirational rather than theologically accurate. As I stated in my review of the first season, this series offers wholesome family entertainment that can serve as a springboard to discussions about Biblical truths.
