I Agree With Barack Obama! : 2009-02-05

President Obama recently stated,
There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being.
While some false gods have demanded child sacrifice, and the atonement of Jesus Christ was an exception to the stated principle, I have to say the president is correct. Too bad his policies contradict this view.

Amazing how he can say this when his policies want to expand the taking of human (unborn baby) lives.

Unreal.

I think we'll see a lot of these dichotomies in the coming years...

That is more than likely true Randy; but remember any further discussion on said topics would be outside of Obama’s pay scale.

Yes, Ryan, we must keep that in mind. I guess athletes and entertainers should answer the tough questions, as they have the best pay scale. Maybe that's why his stimulus package tried to give that huge break to Hollywood.

He's got the "a fetus isn't human" foolishness going on. "Here comes the fetus' head...still not human. There's the body and arms...not human. Now we see the legs...not human. The fetus is out! It's now a human! No wait, one toe still inside...not human...Now it's all the way out and BINGO! It's abruptly gone from non-human to human!" From a worthless bundle of cells to a precious baby in one second!

Rick, you've got it exactly right. I've got a review coming soon of Frank Beckwith's excellent book on abortion that addresses some of those issues.

Question? If Evaluational Science Really believes that life started from nothing then how can they say there is no life in the womb. Two cell form life even according to their way of thinking.

Sorry my Dyslexia seems to be giving me trouble again.

Alan, you're right that consistency does not characterize their approach.

However, discussion of the unborn will likely always go in circles. Seems to me you pretty much have to believe in the existence of the soul and existence of eternity in order to have any consistency to value-of-life arguments. Biology is observed to be regularly offing itself, so it's hard to make a moral case from it.

Randy, at the risk of being self-promotional, those of us with a direct investment in abortion arguments have found more power in combining feminist theory with our biology to demonstrate the value of life:
